Sad news about Brian, but perhaps he should now consider quitting touring once & for all. His health must come first, and touring is hard even for a fit & healthy person, but add in Brian’s problems, both mentally & psychically, and it must be extremely hard. He has given us some outstanding ‘live in concert’ moments through the years, so I’m sure there are thousands of us who will have cherished memories of his gigs, and for some, the opportunity of meeting him in person. But quitting touring doesn’t mean his career is over. I’m sure he still has plenty of music in him & the studio is the place where he has always been the most happiest. And let me clarify, quitting touring doesn’t mean that he never plays ‘live’ again, as he could still do the occasional ‘one off’ gig if he feels up for it. Both going around the globe & crisscrossing the states nigh on all year in, all year out, just isn’t doing him any good anymore. Sad, but ultimately, inevitable.
