Hello!

I purchased tickets for Brian's shop in Huntington, WV on November 6th.  I was disappointed that there were no VIP packages for sell.  Are there other ways to meet the guys?  I know it may be hard to meet Brian without them doing a Meet and Greet, but what about Al and Blondie?

This is my first time seeing Brian in concert.  I am glad that Al and Blondie are with him.

Hey jpettry - welcome to this great home, 'bee doubba-ya dot calm'.  Sorry you can't live your VIP dream, but there are a few venues without the means for VIP'ing.  Have you looked into 'nearby' alternatives?  I realize there are limitations for us all (time, distance, money, etc.), so I'm guessing this is your best chance to see the man.  If so, my advice is to just run with it and enjoy.

Looks like you're seeing a 'Pet Sounds' show - and if this is your first visit to see Brian, consider yourself blessed.  I'm betting you are going to walk away happy.

Others may chime in, but my recommendation is to go early and stay late.  Brian can often be spotted in the front seat of his RV/bus an hour before sound-check (then in the same seat 5 minutes after the concert).  As far as the rest, some of the Band(!) members can be found in the lobby an hour or so before the show...and (more often) around the stage after the show.  Al is quite generous immediately afterwards, handing out playlists.  I've seen Blondie before and after shows, right outside taking a cigarette break. ANY of these guys will shake your hand, pose for a pic, or sign a piece of memorabilia if asked nicely.

In the end, you may come away with no meet & greet ops, but will surely walk away with a musical cloud of happiness around your neck.  Enjoy this chance you have.  Let us know how your night goes.

-Doug

If you hang out outside the venue after the show, you might luck out.

I had the chance to meet Blondie Chaplin and Probyn Gregory after a Brian show in 2015.   I saw Al walk by with some food, but I didn't approach him (I later met him at one of his storytellers gigs).
