So now I'm quite excited about this CD(s).  Was only lukewarm to this release before, mostly just wanting to (finally) hear a decent sound production that was missing all those years.  But I was a latecomer, so I suppose I unfairly compared these WH/SS tracks to other releases in the Beach Boy's late-'60s catalogue - which had superior sound quality.  Perhaps I'd had a different opinion of the original releases had I bought them when my stereo equipment was more 'of/in those times.'

Long-time Beach Boys fans/friends/insiders Ray Lawlor and Ed Roach received their compilations early, and are apparently very impressed by the package - both for the stereo/sound quality and the previously-unreleased tracks contained therein.

Ray says he is "gob smacked" and believes the "vocal arrangements and singing is astounding."  Similarly, he thinks the "live stuff [is] another revelation." (Ray - I hope quoting you here is OK).

Now I'm just a wee-bit overly-excited about getting mine.

Who else has this on order...or has it already?

Yes, looks to be something special - a testament to what Brian and the Beach Boys were doing after the "end of Smile" and all throughout that year of change,1967. Also looking forward to this. Wondering the origin of the title of this - Sunshine tomorrow (lower case t)? Can't wait (too long) to hear it. Love the packaging and design. Thank's bugs!

Just checked - my order is at a Fed Ex facility in the suburbs of my city. So close...
Fed Ex usually delivers in the morning to my neighborhood. Patience! :-)

I am so excited by this, reading comments from fans who are also stoked. I wasn't on any of the Beach Boy related boards back when Smile (either Brian's or the Smile Sessions) was released. So this is the first time involved in this group anticipation.

Whoo hoo!

I'm hoping for at least up there with the expanded 'Party' release (that I seldom play, now).  But, yes, superfan comments have pushed me over into buy territory.

I wondered about the title too, Al - yet I didn't even notice the lower-case t.  Wondering about that now, too.

Yes, the title is a lyric from "Let The Wind Blow". Amazon says mine will arrive today. Stoked!

Gee Jenny - You'd think I would've noticed that, as I completely love that song! [rolleyes]  Good work.[thumb]

TO ALL - Get yours ordered yesterday.  In some cases (like mine), even the pre-orders are being delayed.  There is not enough stock in some locales (at least through Amazon).  I don't think some of the major retailers (Amazon) anticipated the demand for this set.  It's currently a Top 10 seller (Amazon), beating even The Beatles' re-release of Sgt. Pepper's.

I actually went to a record shop and got it. I haven't played the whole of it yet but what I have heard is brilliant! 'I Was Made to Love Her' gave me goosebumps. The spookiest ever 'Fall Breaks...' I think a whole new SMiLE could be constructed from some of the music here and on other SMiLE material. I shall try to put something together for my own listening.

Hi bugs! Yes - sorry I haven't been around. I've been planning meet ups and things on the page on FB I set up for that purpose. It's always refreshing to visit this site again!

I'm going to three BW shows (so far...) Liverpool, London and Sheffield. Really looking forward to it.

Hope all is well with you and everyone else who posts here.

Looking forward to it too.  I finally had a copy offered to me by Amazon for less than 19 bucks so I signed on.  Initially they wanted over 40 dollars and I told them in no uncertain times to take their kites and seek out some strong wind... ... ...or words to that effect.  Maybe it was more like inviting them to hide 'said' kites.

Yes...this will be enjoyable.  At least someone [Alan B and Mark L] 'get' that this material needs to be released while the fans who CARE are still alive to buy it... ... ...at a reasonable price.

So much of it oozes Brian's creativity. Familiar things in a slightly different context. It's like recognising a friend in different clothes and that unusual garb adding to your understanding of your friend.
