Shows are being added around the pre-existing re-schedules.

Don't know if you've seen this one...the Beachlife Festival is very close to Hawthorne.  Brian's the Saturday (May 4) headliner.  Here's the promo (sorry, you'll have to get through the first 20 seconds with Sugar Ray before Brian's part) -

Glad Brian is looking to tour later on in the year...but two thoughts. Hopefully for his health and to keep the band fresh too, the tour dates are spaced out to no more than 2 weeks out at a time. Then back home for some R&R before they go back out again. Second...with all due respect (and I expect I'll get flack)...must we once again have a "Pet Sounds Tour". I love it, it's the best album Brian produced, but it is now three years since the "50th anniversary tour"! Brian has produced so much great music, and  we (and I'm sure the band) would like to hear and do more than Pet Sounds on tour, again...and again...and again. Look at all of the great stuff that just came out from the Friends and 20/20 albums! Wild Honey! Brian's solo stuff! There is more to BW than PS. Give it to us...

Valid points, Frank - though I don't know how feasible the first is with respect to scheduling the vast band, support, and booking venues.  I'll continue to trust Melinda and Brian for the best approach to that.

This (2019) tour started with a handful of Pet Sounds makeup and/or orchestral backup dates.  I thought it might morph into at least a Greatest Hits tour - and it still might.  Whichever, I'd love to see the other portion of the show contain several cuts from those LPs you mention.  And that happened at the end of 2017, when Brian brought us several songs from '1967 - Sunshine Tomorrow.'

I know there are key people reading this forum, so it can't hurt to 'voice' our hopes!

As much as I love that album called Pet Sounds, it's time to move on. As a fan, I'd love to see a new setlist and tour. My thought was a 20th Anniversary of the Brian Wilson Band Tour. Feature everyone throughout the tour on at least one lead vocal, still include some PS cuts besides the 3 basics/G Vibes, and go deep with the setlist. Dig into the archives of the band a little bit with some songs they used to do like Little Girl I Once Knew, and so many others. Even if they were only done a few times. I'd say also do a band favorites, songs chosen by the band as a whole. Also, if they were to do this tour idea, they could incorporate some concepts of Al's storytelling tour by either doing a few songs stripped down in an intimate setting like that or with just Al and Matt OR they could incorporate it instead with history and stories of the 20 year BWB.

Bugs, you mentioned Sunshine Tomorrow. Boy, I loved that Wild Honey suite! I really want to bring that back.

We've all been waiting for a Love You tour, right... And all that wonderful solo stuff, and rare stuff like Believe in yourself, and/or BB songs that are more like solos, like I'm so lonely or Still I dream of it.

Hey key people. BW isn't only Pet Sounds. He can be proud of having made some great solo albums. People like "Lucky Old Sun" a lot. The Gershwin thing was a milestone, and NPP is growing with the time. One or another SMiLE snippet out of context. Need a challenge ? Never heard what Rio Grande sounds like, on stage. I would surely spend some budget.

Unless he keeps his tour dates to an absolute minimum than the critic bashing will continue. Itโ€™s unpopular to say it but itโ€™s true. No 76 year old man with physical and mental health issues should be dragged out nightly from city to city just to use his name to promote a real good band.

I love to hear a great performance from Brian and his band once a month as opposed to a man so worn that all he can do is talk his lyrics. When he is rested and motivated the guy still has it, actually how about no concerts and just one more album.

In case anyone working with BW reads these posts...  I wanted to let them know that the website:  https://www.brianwilson.com/ has a prominent link for 2019 Tour "More Info" that goes to a page with notes from Brian about his 2018 back surgery instead of the 2019 current schedule.  Just thinking that should be corrected...
