This is kinda cool...Just saw it for the first time ever.  Recorded in late '88.  It's his tribute to an "older band".

Here's a pic of Glen playing with the 'boys'.  His tenure lasted about 5 months...

Notice too...Mike doing what he's always done best...  [well, at least since 1965]  ...Merely just standing off to the side of the stage... ... ...watching.

Lee, Glen Campbell had it both ways - studio and live. Amazing, really, everything about this man. Glad that I got to see him live!

Here's some other former Beach People - offering their tribute:

The vocals get really good in this as it goes on! ^
The Dragons were "key" people in the development (late 60's early 70's) - no pun really!  Toni was incredible on the keys in 72 - the Beach Girl. I was really blown away at this concert and C and T were important in the sound.

Well the story here isn't so good but this was how they looked - she had NO short hair that she would popularize and Dennis Wilson was always looking her way.  They were the two keyboards - he the soloist and she the driving rhythm. She was in the front of the stage, on the side, next to Dennis and the Captain was in the back row.

Well done...a wee bit 'Vegassy' but hey!!!  As Mike's tribute band now does...they did Brian's songs proud.  The Captain ran a tight ship musically.

Thanks Al...Yes Glen played on a number of Beach Boy's albums and songs...and there's always 'Guess I'm Dumb' too.  Too bad it didn't come with group harmonies.

Just like Glen, Toni and her other half, and Mike and Bruce as well...A number of people shared in the magic and have [had] valid claims to a degree of ownership.  As long as they put in a professional effort...I'm good with it.  Al Jardine, Family and Friends was an excellent conglomerate.  [too bad Mike squelched that...but in many ways it kind of worked out for some]

I understand that Daryl wasn't necessarily the best husband but...that's a whole different ball of wax.  We can all come up short in some way, shape, or form, along the path.

Bottom line.  They all had something 'foundationally' great to work with.  Those songs, performed with love and true talent, can make anyone sound fantastic. [and for much, MUCH longer than 9 or 10 minutes.]
