About I Am Brian the book the biography i read some articles. One of the lines that most touched me read something like the following.... Brian can be much more articulate writing that speaking.

I been trying to figure the man out and the more i try the more similarities i see with myself, with all modesty. I too have very similar medical conditions to his. I suppose he is not very articulated talking because there must be a ton of different things going on in his head that he just gets distracted. I totally understand that when he is working on it by itself it makes much more sense. Its like you have a ton beautiful things going on (sometimes ugly too) on the inside it seems impossible to describe it to the outside, wich in comparison seems very dull.

It is my belief many creative types are a bit like that, since creating mostly is reaching to the very inside of your soul. I haven't managed to get a copy of the book yet but its on my wishlist and hopefully i'll manage to get a copy soon.

Sometimes when i have a episode people talk to me and i come back from a dream and they ask me my thoughts. Its like trying to explain a whole movie or book in 5 seconds. its really annoying. I wish i could meet the man one day.

I just ordered the book online. I am quite certain he wrote it. He is bright enough for doing so. Can't wait for it to arrive. [biggrin]

It's such an amazing book, you'll really enjoy it. Writer Ben Greenman extensively interviewed Brian and perfectly captured Brian's voice throughout the entire volume. This is commonly done, as most personalities who wish to write a book could not do it by themselves. While Greenman may have word-smithed it, it's Brian's story, in his own words. Once you read it, you'll know what I mean.

It's not earlier than this that I'm starting the first read. Got it as a present for my second latest birthday, and it has been lying beside the laser printer since then, settling dust. No time, no mood, too much work, too many forces. The other day, somebody brought up the glorious idea of purchasing a kindle version, turning it into pdf format, and to read it at the office. There's not much work to do right now, and this will remain for a while. So the opportunity has come, eventually.

Usually, I'm pretty well informed about BW and his music and his life, and I've been following him for the last 10 years, including a Gershwin show at RFH, 2 Pet Sounds 50thA shows, and watching the L&M movie. So this read, hopefully, will have to be an intense one, and everything but superficial.

I think I'll bring up some aspects here from time to time. Just finished the Overture, starting with Fear. Very amused about the way he mixes up the voices from his stage band musicians and from inside his head. [smile]
