Just purchased 2 tkts to see Al and Matt at The Coach House in San Juan Capistrano in April for Al's "A Postcard From California, From The Very First Song" small tour. I am really looking forward to Al and Matt and this kind of show.
Look on Al's web Site or Facebook page as he is adding more dates.

I'll be at the March 27th show in Annapolis, MD.  I'm really looking forward to it.  With such an intimate show, I'm hoping Al digs pretty deep and pulls out some stuff like Lookin at Tomorrow or From There to Back Again.

We'll be at the Annapolis show as well. It should be a wonderful evening; really looking forward to it.

If the City Winery (NYC) can get their schedule fixed - I'll go!  This looks to be a "have to go see/hear" event.

THIS is why we are all HERE at BW.com

Waiting for the videos online. If anyone finds them, please share. Matt just posted on Facebook earlier today that they will be upgrading the sets as they go along.

Is anyone coming/going to the Al and Matt show in the City on Sunday?  Just curious.

Please DON'T read this if you are going as it may spoil your event.  I do think that they change it up - the set.

There is multimedia involved and quite a few stories told.

1)  Surfin (audio clips then the song - Al on the double bass as it was back in the day)
(snare drum story and Brian playing it on the session)
2) Surfin Safari
3) Surfer Girl - (composing story and getting the grade in school)
4) Don't Worry Baby (Matt - Beach Boy dad story)
5) I Get Around - segue to - Little Deuce Coupe
6) California Girls - (Carl's 12 string direct to board story)
7) Sloop John B (how they came of this) - two versions - original Kingston and then goes to Beach Boys version(returns to Kingston at the end reprise).
8) God Only Knows
9) Good Vibrations - (took 3 or 6 months?)
10) Welfare Song (explaining Surf's Up album) - Deep Cut
(Armin Steiner explaining how Vegetables was recorded on video) (Also Al explains Fire session and some of Smiley Smile)
11) Vegetables
(Maharishi story - recruited by the Beatles in Paris - no images ever found of this)
12) Santa Ana Winds (some of Winds Of Change and Ronnie Milsap)
13) Heroes and Villains (no one sings it better than Al - I believe)
14) California Saga (song)
(Glen Campbell video and talk of losing his shirt)
15) Postcard from California

Encore
1) Surfin' USA
2) Barbara Ann (holds nose while singing for the nasal)
3)  Rhonda

(signing area after show)

WHAT a show by the trio and I didn't catch the third member's name but he is incredible with everything that he does and adds.
