The Netherlands yesterday extended its ban on major events (as per Germany & Belgium) to the end of August, so that rules out the Amsterdam and Groningen concerts. Currently Brian's European tour looks like this:

29 - Heartland Festival, Egeskov Castle, Kværndrup, Denmark (cancelled)
30 - Dome, Brighton, England

June
1 - Royal Albert Hall, London
4 - SEC Armadillo, Glasgow, Scotland (postponed)

[venue is currently an NHS temporary hospital]
  6 - Sage, Gateshead, England
  8 - Symphony Hall, Birmingham
  9 - Theatre Royal, Nottingham
10 - Bridgewater Hall, Manchester (rescheduled to June 29th 2021)*

12 - Windsor Hall, International Centre, Bournemouth
13 - Motorpoint Arena, Cardiff, Wales
14 - Town Hall, Leeds, England
16 - Opera House, Blackpool
17 - Corn Exchange, Cambridge
19 - Akzena Rock, Vitoria-Gasteiz, Spain
21 - Philharmonie, Munich, Germany (postponed)
22 - Royal Theater Carré, Amsterdam, Netherlands (postponed)
24 - OLT Rivierenhof, Antwerp, Belgium (postponed)
26 - De Oosterport, Groningen, Netherlands (postponed)
27 - Emsland Arena, Lingen, Germany (postponed)

* although this show was reinstated the day after it was "postponed", I think someone just jumped the gun...

And now this announcement, which must have been done in conjunction with Brian's people: I'll stick my neck out and wager a fair sum that Brian's summer tour of the UK and Europe isn't happening, and if that's so, then there needs to be an official announcement, and not the likes of me posting piecemeal.

Per Brian's manager, "[they] will know more soon. Stay tuned."
I realize people may want to know more now, but that's just not possible.  Agreed, there could be at least a 'pending' statement on the Tour page, but I'd think anyone with tickets - or with the intention to buy tickets - surely should know it's all guess work at this point.  How many times has the world been through a pandemic?  Trying to reschedule venues in multiple countries to re-create a manageable tour at a time like this? - no thank you!

And for all we know, one or more people involved are dealing with worse life circumstances.

Patience.

"I realize people may want to know more now, but that's just not possible."

Glasgow show has been postponed for weeks, venue is currently a temporary NHS hospital...

Germany, Belgium and The Netherlands have recently banned all major gatherings until the end of August, which includes concerts, so that's another five shows that won't be taking place anytime soon...

But all of these gigs are still listed on the tour pages under the heading "Tickets Now On Sale!". I'd think it's entirely possible to state that these shows have been at best postponed. Brian has the best fans in the business, and they deserve better than this.

Well, of course it's possible...which is why I wrote "there could be at least a 'pending' statement on the Tour page..."  But anyone buying a ticket without understanding the chance of postponement/cancellation has been living under a rock.

What is it we 'deserve'?  After all, if we're the best fans in the world, we should be smart enough to know everything is pending at the current time.

Do you know how long this virus will wreak havoc across the world?  If so, there's likely a position for you at a number of disease control centers.
If your biggest complaint is about updating the tour page, well, you're doing just fine.

Let's keep this in perspective.

The fans deserve to be better informed, directly from the management team, instead of getting such info from the likes of me.

I'm guessing that this is very difficult for Brian's management. They're having to wait upon government decisions in order to know whether the tour can be postponed and also to deal with venues, some of which are closed and may have absent staff.

It's difficult for everyone but I hope that the fans all appreciate the difficulties and await further information with patience.

I had huge difficulty even posting here - seems to have been a problem with Safari.

Best wishes to everyone - hope you're all safe and coping with lockdown.

Well put, Ang - there are many factors that go into booking tours in typical times...now, it seems a near impossibility.  I do feel bad for Brian's European fans...but I feel bad for SO many people around the globe with far worse problems.

It is very nice to hear from you - yep, bandwidth demands and network highways they're built upon are a bit skewed at best.

Someone just posted on the Brian Wilson Tour page on Facebook that the Leeds concert has been re-scheduled for July 2021.

I've since heard that the Leeds event has been cancelled - don't know if this is true though as apparently Brian is scheduled to play Liverpool Philharmonic on June 28th 2021.

The Leeds date is listed as postponed on their website, so that info looks pretty solid to me.

As for a new date being announced for next year in Liverpool... maybe the powers that be should first address the chaos of this year's schedule ?

As for this: "I'm guessing that this is very difficult for Brian's management. They're having to wait upon government decisions in order to know whether the tour can be postponed"

The Belgian, Dutch & German governments announced several days ago that their bans on major events (which include concerts) have been extended to the end of August, so that takes out the final five dates. The Danish festival was cancelled weeks ago, the Armadillo was similarly postponed some time ago (it's currently a temporary NHS hospital), Leeds has just been postponed and I wouldn't bet a penny on the Manchester gig going ahead this year either. That's nine shows out of nineteen either off or very dubious, and the first scheduled date is thirty-one days away. The chances that the current restrictions will be sufficiently lifted by May 30th to allow 5000-odd folk to attend the RAH are roughly on a par with me winning millions on the lottery (hint: I don't buy a ticket). But still... no official word. To reframe a very old joke, Stevie Wonder could see that this tour isn't happening.

I'm sure that the 2020 tour won't be happening too but whether it could be postponed to later this year (as some other tours have been) or to next year is another question and one that does rely on government measures and the venues. I'm assuming Brian's management want to make an announcement when they know what the likely situation will be - cancellation or postponement and until what date.

I don't really agree with offering 2021 shows at this stage. It would be better to wait until the situation is clearer IMO.

The tour will be postponed to 2021, the tour page is currently in the works.

The German dates now take place in June 2021, and there is a third Germany show added in Berlin.

June 08 - Munich, Philharmonie
June 10 - Berlin, Admiralspalast
June 11 - Lingen, Emsland-Arena

Hopefully this will work out and hopefully Brian will be healthy enough to do all those shows next year!

There have been emails about reschedules for several UK dates now, including Glasgow, Birmingham, RAH, Cambridge, Manchester (and I think Brighton...). There's also been a new date at Liverpool Philharmonic.

Curious about the London date. Hopefully no new date colliding with another. We will see.

4 BW concerts now for me next year. Hopefully.
