I basically just wanted to see if I still remembered how to post a new topic.  But, checking on the mojo box office weekend results, I noticed a number of current juke box films I have not seen.  This seems to have become a (good) trend, after 'Love & Mercy', there was the 'Wrecking Crew' one, and 'Yesterday,' then 'Echo in the Canyon' and 'Blinded by the Light'.

Now, there are apparently films celebrating the music of Linda Rondstadt, David Crosby, and Miles Davis.  not to mention a doc. by/about Clarence Clemons called 'Who Am I' (or something like that).  and there's one called 'Hitsville' narrated by Smokey and Barry Gordy.  These are certainly nice things to see if you catch them on cable.

Anyone seen these and have reviews?  thanks.

I haven't seen Echo In The Canyon but heard that it was excellent. Don't forget the Queen Biopic in there - won just a few awards and rightfully so.  There was the Elton film as well.

What about the Brian film that was shot last year - Long Promised Road?   Nothing about it.  Fall release?

We're not hearing anything about it but it has to be ready to roll out soon - one would think. Maybe too much Biopic competition right now.  All about scheduling.

We thought Echo In The Canyon was very good. For those of you who are in the Kansas City area, the David Crosby film is currently at the Glenwood Arts Theater in Overland Park. It may only be there another two days or so, not sure, and we may not be able to make it (going to see The Temptations with the Kansas City Symphony Friday). We do plan to see Linda Ronstadt: The Sound Of My Voice, which opens at the Glenwood this Friday, with a preview showing Thursday night. I could just sit with my eyes closed and listen to her sing.
