Well done, Cindy, and thank you for hosting.

Sixteen voters for the week is the equal highest of the year so far.

Those scores are in the book.

It was the first and probably only entry for Fontella Bass.

It was the third time around for ‘Getcha Back’.

Its record:

- a Bronze in Week 28 of Season III (D.A.N),
- a Silver in Week 14 of Season V (snoops71),
- a Silver in Week 10 of Season X (Cindy Hood)

Five tracks from The Beach Boys have been used.

It is one of only three Beach Boys studio albums comprising of new or almost new material – and not counting oddities/rare versions – that has not spawned any play-off contestants as yet. The others are Surfin’ Safari (1962) and Summer in Paradise (1992). (The live version of ‘Summer in Paradise’ that came 10th in last season’s Tin Play-Off was not from the album that bears its name.)

Its record:

Getcha Back (a Bronze in Week 28 of Season III - D.A.N; a Silver in Week 14 of Season V - snoops71; a Silver in Week 10 of Season X - Cindy Hood),

It’s Getting Late (a Bronze in Week 14 of Season V - snoops71),

Crack at Your Love (a Silver in Week 22 of Season IV - Roy Rogers),

California Calling (a Tin in Week 14 of Season V - snoops71),

Where I Belong (a Gold in Week 14 of Season V - snoops71)

It was the first solo entry for Justin Timberlake.

He has featured twice before; on ‘4 Minutes’ (Madonna featuring Justin Timberlake and Timbaland - 2008) that won the Tin in Week 33 of Season V (Peter Simpson) and, albeit uncredited, on ‘Where Is the Love?’ (The Black Eyed Peas - 2003) that won the Bronze in Week 3 of this season (Al Forsyth).

It was just the third entry for Michael Jackson.

His record:

Ben (a Silver in Week 21 of Season VI - bonnie bella),
Thriller (a Silver in Week 43 of Season IX - Tom Tobben),
P.Y.T. (Pretty Young Thing) (a Tin in Week 10 of Season X - Cindy Hood)

All four songs are thereabouts in relation to play-offs. Will depend on how the year pans out.

Please continue to support our hosts.
