My wife and I saw Brian and the band Wednesday night here in Colorado Springs, and we were blown away!  I'm a huge Beach Boys fan and was really looking forward to this show.  Wow, just wow.  What a show.  My wife, a casual Beach Boys fan was also in shock on how good the show was.

Having said all that, I do miss Carl terribly.  Brian was the genius of the band, but Carl was the soul.

Anyone know if they're going to release a DVD/CD of the tour?

I read that a Pet Sounds show from September 2016 was filmed, but I've heard nothing about any kind of release planned.

As Brian says (about his band) - "Aren't they GREAT!?!  They're GREAT!"  And they are.  Glad you and your wife enjoyed the magical night Dale.

And if nothing comes of the filmed 2016 show, I would suggest the Brian Wilson and Friends DVD.   It's the closest DVD release to a full Brian Wilson concert out there, and has most of his current band, including Al and Blondie.

I don’t know about filming the concerts but as I was reading a bit about the Streetlight Harmonies documentary on doo-wop, I found Hatcreek Films which led me to this:

Coming Soon
Posted on March 9, 2018
A major, new documentary film project from HatCreek Films and Director Brent Wilson will be announced soon.

It looks like Brian’s piano to me!  If nothing else I recognize the water bottle holder and the chair.
Are we getting a new documentary soon?  [idea]

I had the same exact feelings when i saw him in Toledo last year. I then followed it up by seeing Mike Loves Beach Boys a couple of weeks later.

Love and his band put on a good show. I am still blown away by Brian Wilson and his band. So much so my wife and I planned to see him for our 5 year wedding anniversary in Nashville but that just got cancelled. We will be making the trip from Cleveland to see him in Mt Pocono though. Can't wait.
