I had a great time in Kansas City at the beautiful Kaufmann Center last night.  A great dinner overlooking the Kansas City skyline followed by a Greatest Hits concert sprinkled with a few Pet Sounds numbers.  Greatest Hits additions included Little Honda, Salt Lake City, Wake the World, Add Some Music to Your Day, and Do It Again.  Blondie brought back Wild Honey.  Greatest Hits from Pet Sounds included Wouldn't It Be Nice, Sloop John B, and God Only Knows.
It was a great night of music as always.
It was cool to meet up with Paul in KC and I can't thank Debbie KL enough for her hospitality.
I didn't spend too much time taking photos. Here are the best:

Sounds like a great time, Deb - thanks for sharing with us.  Too bad about your seat - 2nd row it looks like. [biggrin]

Actually, the seasoned concert-goer, Deb#, selected her seat as I usually did, best for sound, so no. On the other hand, I needed to sit next to an exit because of my back, so my group of 10 was in the 2nd row. I trusted that the Kauffman had no bad seats and it worked out that way. Another accidental smooth move was having the best photographer I know locally seated close to the center and the lovely lady who helped my hobble out of the place took some nice wide-angle photos. Let's see if I can remember how to post photos here. Oh yeah, it's easy here!

Deb, thanks so much! Your visit was a delight. What a brilliant woman you are in every area. I guess I wasn't surprised about the brilliance, just the breadth and depth of what you know.

Those ARE good photos Debbie!  I love Mr. Chaplin's serious concentration in the last one.
Thank You

So glad you enjoyed the photos!

The amazing thing is, my friend Carolyn wasn't even using her tricked-out photo equipment but a small phone camera. My friend Elizabeth (wide-angle photos) was stuck next to me on the end to help me hobble out of the place and was using her phone - but she's good at everything (like Deb#). I think it all worked nicely. Deb# was further back where the best sound is.

Maybe I should have thought all this out before and been more organized with my posts...

No - it's all good, Debbie.  Appreciate the posts.
Was thinking of the number of times you've seen this good man and the experiences you've shared.  Sad to know you've both gone through recent spinal surgery, but glad to know you were both out sharing an evening of his music this week.

To Deb#1 and Debbie KL, it was such a pleasure meeting both of you. And the pictures are great. Cheryl and I have sat in different areas in both halls at the Kauffman Center and the view and sound have never failed us.

Debbie KL, I will certainly be in touch with you.

Thanks so much for the great pix.  I'll be seeing our boy in Hammond, Indiana, a week from Friday:  the Christmas Album tour.  I'll post comments following the performance.
