I would vote for "Melt Away" and "Goin' Home" (a rocker).
It also would be a blast to have "South American" in the set list for awhile.

Midnight's Another Day (but could he do this night after night?)

One For the Boys (showcase the vocal stylizing that STILL occurs)

The Like In I Love You (or something from Gershwin to make the connection)

Check this out:

If Al's there:

With or Without Instrumentation...

and I absolutely love this one...

Al's bang on with 'One For the Boys'...and Curt's choice of 'South American' would be 100% AWESOME.

And if we could go back to an earlier time... from 1971...

and there's one more from 1980 which I can't find a Yew Tewb  The Beach Boys 'Sunshine' which would be a great and fitting addition to any Brian show.

If they have to drop Barbara Ann to squeeze these in...I'd be OK with it.

LONG List, Curt!  I think we're all hoping for BW solo songs in his live shows.  I could point to several (can't argue with ANY of those above, guys).
My choice?... (today)? .....

RIO GRANDE!!

For the 10,000th time...

The Lonely Sea

Not really a “solo” song... but almost.

Great choices, guys. Yes, Lee - I would dig it the most if Brian sang "Water Builds Up". That would be cool. And I have wished from time to time to hear "Your Imagination" again live. And ANY TIME is the right time for "Til I Die". Al - I thought about "Midnight's Another Day", too, but like you, I am not sure if Brian could do it the way he did it. And Bugs - "Rio Grande" is a primo choice. With Brian's band I have always thought it was a no brainer to eventually put this in the set list. But year after year it never appears. I am thinking perhaps, Brian is not into it for some reason. I have tickets to 2 of the Nashville "Pet Sounds" show in May. Taking my daughter, who lives in Nashville, to one and my brother to the other. But I am hoping Brian schedules a Greatest Hits show in the LA area - perhaps we will hear some of your excellent suggestions in the GH shows. But whatever Brian wants to sing is alright by me. When he sings I always "feel the vibrations and all the sensations". Which reminds me, I would love Brian to put "Breakaway" back in his set list. 😉

Oh, man - Breakaway!  What a great concert tune, Curt.  There's so many...songs to sing, I'm thankful for the love they bring...

These shows are coming up soon!  Sounds like a great trip to Nashville planned, Curt.  Try to meet up with the Kentucky contingent - GGH, The Egg, dkmh (forget which nights they're going).  Good people...fun.  They developed instant Brian Wilson passion in the last few years (like me)!

I have NO BW trips planned yet.  Waiting to see the other towns/dates.  I'd love to meet up with you at a SoCal show again, Curt.

Lay Down Burden
Baby Let your Hair Grow Long, although to be honest, I prefer Nelson Bragg's version of this song. Nelson sings it in a sweeter voice which I thinks suits the song better.

Bugs, like you, I'm waiting to make concert travel plans to see where else the tour takes Brian and the band. However, I find it really frustrating that Brian's management dribbles out the tour dates and beginning to wonder if there will be many more before he starts European tour.

I'd even settle for one or two of these to be added to a setlist

Let's Go to Heaven in My Car
Melt Away
Let It Shine
South American
Forever She'll Be My Surfer Girl
Midnight's Another Day
Goin Home
Southern California
The Like In I Love You
Saturday Night

from Kds' list: 'Southern California', 'The Like in I Love You' and 'Midnight's Another Day'.

yes, 'Breakaway' would be nice.

'Nothing but Love' and 'Rhapsody in Blue'.

'Everything I Need' and 'This Isn't Love'.  of course, 'She's Still a Mystery to Me'!!

'Passing By'.  'At My Window'.

Yes, 'The Right Time'.  'Please Let me Wonder'.  'She Knows me Too Well'.  'In my Room.'  'Surfer Girl'.  'Farmer's Daughter'.  'This Whole World'.  'Wendy'.

If he doesn't want to sing 'Surf's Up' anymore, that's fine, but it's so important, then, they should
work up an instrumental version.

'Don't Worry Baby' and 'Til I Die, and...

any song from 'Love You'.

'Still I Dream of It'

Farmer's Daughter is a little tricky vocally but it is doable. Matt and Probyn are there to double, but it wouldn't be as strong as Brian Ike and Jeff Foskett.

I'd love to hear Our Special Love live. We didn't get the No Pier Pressure tour in the UK. Don't know who would sing this with Brian but perhaps Al or Matt could do it.
