Is it me, or is it strange how BW & Friends has passed practically "under the radar"? Too many guests?
I love both the DVD and CD, and how the songs from NPP don't sound so out of their place among the great BB classics.
The highlights, for me, are:

- The best live rendition of Heroes and Villains I have heard.
- Wild Honey.
- Sail Away.
- Seeing Ricky Fataar on drums again. How cool is that man?
- Mark Isham and his magic flugelhorn.
- Nate Ruess on "Hold Down Dear Brother". Stunning. Blondie looked stunned too, in hearing that young man singing his song so soulfully.
- California Saga, which rocks live.
- Last but not least: Matt Jardine.

I haven't watched my copy since I got it last spring.

I thought Brian Eichenberger did the falsetto for BW & Friends, and Matt was unavailable.

Hi everyone,

I love this album! I haven't gotten the DVD yet but have seen it on air. I think the only songs I haven't heard yet from either are the ones from TWGMTR--Summer's Gone and Pacific Coast Highway and I can't wait to hear them. I've seen both versions on TV.

I love the guitar work on Marcella. Loved Saturday Night with Nate on vocals, Hold On Dear Brother, and Darlin'. GOK by Nate was good too but not featured on DVD. I wasn't at this show but saw a video of GOK on YouTube.

Just all around great live versions of all the songs performed. Great organ on Good Vibes, guitar solo by Probyn on Dance Dance, and great job by Blondie and the rest of the guests.

I really love the falsetto vocals on this, which were done mostly by Brian "Ike" Eichenberger. Ike is a great singer and vocalist and the falsetto that he adds is great! I wish he was still there and that there is more footage of his falsetto. It can clearly be heard on this album, especially on Good Vibes, Heroes/Villains, Dance Dance Dance, and Sloop John B.

Matt Jardine was also there as a guest but wasn't on stage for the whole show.

Other songs I wish were on this album that were performed:
She Knows Me Too Well
Barbara Ann
Surfin' USA
