>I love the band but I prefer my Brian albums as Brian only.

I love Brian's vocals and arrangements on anything but sometimes when every voice is him, it is a little much in my opinion (doesn't he put aside like 10 tracks for vocals?). I like to hear the mix of the different vocals which is why I was glad that TLOS had the band on it and I actually really enjoyed the demo cuts with Scott taking the lead.

I remember reading something about Mike putting down Brian's first solo album.  But maybe Landy still being in the picture had something to do with it.  I mean didn't Brian give Landy co writing credit when Landy really wasn't much of a co writer at all.   I'm not sure if Mike has given his views on some of Brian's later solo work.

As for Daybreak Over the Ocean I like it as well.  Not the best track on TWGMTR but it's still quite good in my opinion.  It might even be the best out of the songs that Mike sings lead on.

Getting back to Brian's first solo album even though I do like the Brian multitracked version I wouldn't mind Brian re recording "One For The Boys" with his band.   I think that one could be even more powerful done the old school way.   I think I recall at least one or two people saying that one should've been rerecorded during the Reunion.

>I don't remember the "turkey" reference, but I DO quite clearly remember Mike saying in an interview (Kokomo was a hit at the time) "Well, we see who has the #1 single in the charts!"

From what I recall Mike said something along the lines that Brian laid a turkey of an album. He then went on to make fun of the lyrics from "There's So Many". The line he made fun of was "Planets are spinning around...."

This was the post I was referring to an another thread. I think it would be great if Brian did this so we can have a whole album like the bonus track on Pier Pressure!
