For a second there B.D., I thought you were saying that you didn't like the lineup.

Someone suggested that "The lineup really blows?"  Back in the day...like last week...that was a pretty significant PUT DOWN...but I gather that THAT is not the case here.  Amazon still hasn't changed their info by the way so I can't pre-order yet for March 31 or April 7.  And NO Lana.  For sure.

Almost 40 bucks for 1 cd?  Over $50. on the Canadian Amazon.  [.ca version]  Yikes!!!  But it's Brian so I'll do it.

I really figured that THAT was why Brian had the Q and As on-line Monday...so that HE could announce the release of HIS new album.  Something must have gotten fouled up somewhere.  67 hours later...the announcement is made by Michael here...and by Brian at Smiley Smile.

All the best with the SUCCESS factor Brian.  I know what matters to YOU in terms of measuring success.  #1 on the charts.  I hope it spends at least a couple of months at #1 on both sides of the ocean.

I am 100% sure that it deserves to.

It looks like Brian will be singing lead at least on certain tracks since some have no special guest names listed.  Glad to see that the tracks including Al, David, and Blondie made the cut.  I was hoping the release date would be a little sooner than April 7th but I have a feeling it'll be worth the wait.

Also the three bonus tracks on the Deluxe Edition seem to be ones that Brian sings lead on as well.  So I'll definitely be getting the Deluxe version.

Yes!!! Can't wait!! [smile] Hope they produce a good quantity of the deluxe edition (that it's not also 'limited edition').

I was thinking maybe the Lana Del Ray version of "The Last Song" might be released as a single while Brian's version will be on the album.

I also hope a No Pier Pressure tour will follow either by late Spring or sometime during the Summer.

Jeremy, in the Q & A Brian said that they would tour to support the album, so your hope could well come true. [smile]

I'm really hoping for a tour announcement in the near future.  There have been a bunch of annoucements for summer shows in the last couple weeks, so I'm hoping Brian isn't too far behind.

I mean I'd still go even if it was just Brian and his band.  But it would be super cool if he's accompanied by Al, David Marks, and Blondie Chaplin.  I know Blondie did select dates on the last tour but I'd like to see him be a regular on this tour.

Jeremy,

That would be an incredible tour if Brian had Al, David, and Blondie on board.  They'd have twice as many Beach Boys as.....The Beach Boys.

Maybe.....just maybe...if Blondie toured, they'd bring back "Leaving This Town."

I'm going to see Brian...whether he comes to [preferably] Detroit or Toronto...but not both.  But I won't miss it this time like I did the Beach Boys 50th Anniversary shows.  Still kickin' my own pimply bum for THAT.  And I have pretty much decided to cancel my promise to go play golf with my GREAT friends back where I used to live the 2nd week in August and stay here to catch and [so I'm told] co-MC the Mike and Bruce Beach Boys show in Chatham...although the last time I looked it still hasn't been officially announced in terms of ticket sales or venue.

I can play golf with the boys a week or two sooner in the summer instead.

If Brian comes alone...with nothing more than an accordian or a kazoo...I'll be there.  Anything more will just be a bonus.

I keep saying this.  Our chance to catch either act is NOW.  Time is quickly running out.  These tours are going to stop...at least the ones including Brian, Mike, Al, Bruce, David and Blondie [and Ricky] if he shows up.  It's going to reach a point where the voices just won't be able to hit those notes and hold them.  The clock on that alone...is ticking.

Got a chance to upgrade your memory with some 'fresh' material?  Don't be DUMB like I most definitely was in 2012.  It was timing, distance and availability...but I should have tried harder to make it happen.  Regrets?  I've had a few.  [Thanks Frank...and Paul...who wrote it.]

Agreed Lee.

I'm waiting until official Maryland dates for both Brian Wilson and The Beach Boys are announced before I make my vacation plans this year.
