.....well, almost. I see where BW will be having a Christmas Tour this year. This could be interesting. Austin on the 15th looks like it will be my Christmas present to myself.

Betcha it comes with an added Christmas gift...songs from the new album....plus a set of the best classic hits.  It's NOT going to be a 30 minute show...now is it? [wink]

It rolls right up til the night before...the night before Christmas.  Doesn't look like there's time to swing across the ocean.  Maybe for Christmas 2019?  Most folks really just want a Christmas concert in December.  Christmas in October or even November doesn't really 'do it' for me.  It's too 'X-massy'.

Should be a GREAT show though.  Merry Christmas everybody. [biggrin]

I'd settle for the Xmas show at pretty much anytime over here in the UK and it could actually have great added novelty value if they performed it out of season but obviously Nov/Dec would be preferable.

I suppose before they changed the calendar, Christmas Day would have fallen later and Twelfth Night later still! Obviously it would be better before Christmas but even late October wouldn't be bad if they have any days free.

The last of the summer shows seem to be in August and the first of the Holiday Tour is November 28th. By early November we're getting all the Christmas ads on TV and everyone is getting in the Christmas spirit! So any time in November would be wonderful.

I haven't listened to this in awhile! So thanks Brian - even if we don't get the tour we have so much for which to be VERY VERY grateful. Sorry to be greedy! I remember David Leaf saying at the ICA in London a few years ago now: "We always want more..." And we do. But no wonder!

Was nice to get a small taste of Christmas music (Little Saint Nick) at previous December shows here in Australia for Pet Sounds and SMiLE - nearly half my lifetime ago.

It occurred to me over the weekend that it's about two years (last night to the day) since I last saw Brian - would love to get another opportunity but even just one time was very special.

Alright! - NOW, I will have concert plans for sure.  The Saturday night before Christmas.  This one's an easy choice - I'll take the whole famn damily, and all significant others.  What a blast.  Truly a gift from Brian and all!

Curt - You were months ahead of the news!  THIS year will be a merry Christmas season for the Brian Wilson/Beach Boys fans.

It shouldn't be. I think it will be close to about 2 hours, at least. Not sure the setup if it will be like the SMiLE and Pet Sounds tours where it will be a normal set then the holiday set (or vice versa) with the traditional encore or if it will go back and forth with the holiday stuff mixed in. We shall see how it plays out.
