Damn - I really like Lady Gaga, but she's seriously annoying me.  And Queen Latifah as Bessie was unbelievable.  And when she passed Leo DiCaprio on the way to the stage, I was cracking up.  He was pretty damn irreverent too.

Sorry.  Not watching.  Awards shows are highly 'odd'.  Don't know how any of them have any cred whatsoever.

But I've only felt this way since Winchester Cathedral 'took' Good Vibrations at the Grammy Awrds back in 1967.

We all know how great a job the whole caste did with Love and Mercy.  They did.  The movie is excellent.  THAT'S what really counts.

Well, now I'm truly pissed.  What idiocy.  And I agree with you again, Lee.

At least it could have been the Fast & Furious song.

I'm listening to this dreadful song now.  Ugh.  Did NOT see the film.  Sam Smith is one of the young buzzers though.  I was only coming in and out of this dreadful telecast anyway but unfortunately caught both of these moments.  Back to Downton Abbey or Serta Perfect Sleeper ads or Big Bang or some other small screen horror.  Off to snooze actually.   I'll never waste a second of my life again watching GG awards.

I think this year wins for most bleeped stuff.  That was probably the best of this thing, if we actually knew...other than Brian's hair and Melinda's dress - so cool.  I hope Brian enjoyed his meal.

We know how this sh*t goes.  The fact that Dano and "One Kind of Love" were nominated is the big thing.  The rest is big studio buy-offs and giving something to Stallone for - whatever at this point in his life - I was never a huge fan.

Here's the thing...Jane Fonda has looked more pissed off than any of us since the beginning of the show - maybe one of those bleeped things, or she's just generally unhappy with the whole damn thing.

Recap - Stallone won for basically switching on his auto-pilot function to play the same role he's played in, what, 7 films so far? Rocky 1 was brilliant, yes - one of the best films of all time for many reasons...but Apollo? I prefer first-runs over repeats any day. Especially 7 time repeats.

The song...I don't get the appeal of the Sam Smith tune, or the vocal. As far as a Bond theme, it doesn't come close to how some of the previous themes nailed the Bond persona and vibe. This one did not. If anything, the Fast & Furious was a better song that connected with the film it was featured in. But the Spectre theme? No.

Brian and Scott wrote a song with heart that connects with the film, at least to me, and is a better song overall...it made us very happy, and for that, as Lee said above, much thanks to Brian and Scott!

We know who the winners should have been. Don't need the awards to tell us otherwise.

One day, when Brian is gone, the elite will bow and give him some award to let all the unwashed know they "get" him. Until then, I retire to bedlam.
