Chris, YES the 54th anniversary of the GREAT album.  I can't list favorites as everything on the album is that to me. But when it came out and I was a young tad using paper route money to buy albums - I always skipped over the instrumentals.  Now one NEVER steps over anything on Pet Sounds.

The "feels" of Pet Sounds:

Brian - "I wouldn't change one note". ^^^^^

I love all of it but I particularly love 'Don't Talk...' and 'I Just Wasn't Made for These Times'.

Wouldn't It Be Nice (the beginning), I Just Wasn't Made For These Times (the climax) & Caroline No (the ending).

My wife and I were married on the 10th anniversary of Pet Sounds. I didn't realize at the time.

Love the extra studio footage that was missing from the original Good Vibrations studio video. Awesome; Brian at his very peak. At the time very few recognized that; including me.

To me, it's a classic work of art that works as a whole. I will note that my Brian Wilson fan cat wasn't wild about the ending though (I'm not kidding), he was truly pi**ed off when he figured out that Banana and Louie were part of it.

Bought it when it first came out, senior year in high school.  Today it feels like it was written with me in mind specifically, but then it was at first confusing.  It took the hit singles "Sloop John B" and "Wouldn't It Be Nice" to hook me.
