Hi, everyone. I'm Watamushi from Japan. I've been around other forums, so some of you must know me.

I've been a fan of the Beach Boys and Brian Wilson since December, 2015. My favorite albums are Pet Sounds, Friends, Sunflower, Love You and BW88.

I think I'll be a lurker here. Just wanted to say hi to you all.

Yea, Watamushi!   Welcome.    See, that Lee Marshall is a nice guy, even though he doesn't like the classic "BB Love You" quite as much as we do.

By the way...what is a 'Mushi'?

We're going to see maybe how accurate or not is Yahoo Answers.

It says 'Mushi' means insect.  I was thinking 'Moshi' which you hear some people say on cellphones like hello, or in Chinese Wei---.    Then I thought of those little doughy deserts.  But all wrong.  So, whatamushi means 'what an insect'?

wata means cotton, mushi means insect in Japanese. Watamushi is my imaginary creature in my imaginary world. And I use it as my user name on the Internet.

Great!  I'm almost as good as Sherlock Holmes.

My 2nd case is in regards to this Scottish singer who never married... (it's on another post).  [smile]

too bad you weren't here earlier, WM.  This great guy on here named Larry and I were discussing a cool song (theme from Tokyo Ghoul) "Unravel."  My kids play it on the piano rather than with guitars like Ling Tosite Sigure, and it sounds kind of like Brian's unusual chord changes on a sad, existential song.  My wife has been to Japan for business.

I also was once visited in this U.S. by Japanese Beach Boys fan club president Susuma Ogata.  He told me I drove like New Yorkers (aggressive).  I am less so now.   He told me 'Girl I Knew Somewhere' was his favorite Monkees song, which I thought was a good choice.

[rofl]  Ain't it the truth, Lee.  Whenever I read one of those 'first-time posters/long-time lurker' on THIS site, I think about how right it feels posting here...yet I still lurk on the other site(s), where THEY may have been posting for awhile.  I wish all the good ones could just come on over...then I wouldn't have to lurk THERE anymore.
