I just saw a Facebook post from Matt Jardine saying he's taking time off the road for family and recording time-and then he would be back on the road next year. Who will be singing his parts? He pretty much is the entire 2nd half of the show when they do Pet Sounds. Very strange.

Not very strange.  Not even strange.  Matt left the tour for a few shows during the first round of Pet Sounds-50 shows for family reasons.  Sometimes, family matters most.  And perhaps he found time for other work once they had to quit touring back in May this year.  Family needs money as well as love.

In the interim, Carnie's husband Rob is filling in - and admirably, from what I've heard.

I think the spouses and kids are the unsung heros of these lengthy tours. While we, as fans, appreciate the extra opportunities to see additional shows, it has to take a toll on the loved ones at home. Good for Matt for stepping out when he feels he needs to. In the interim, Rob Bonfiglio is doing a great job. I was fortunate to be at both the Richmond and DC shows. Matt has a loyal following and big shoes to fill; not an easy gig to jump into. Go to as many of these shows as you can. It's not as though we'll have the chance to see Brian and this fabulous collection of stellar musicians that surround him forever.

So true.

Power to Matt and Rob for his part.

If anyone has the chance to see Al and Matt Jardine next year, GO to this.  It's unbelievable.

Perhaps they could bring back Taylor Mills, and get her to sing "Pet Sounds" from a female perspective!

It looks as though Robert Bonfiglio has taken over the main singing duties.  The Christmas band definitely is different, but it's still a great show.  I'd definitely recommend it.  After seeing a few of the Pet Sounds tour stops, I enjoyed the change of pace after taking 2017 off from seeing Brian and the guys.  Al did a solo stop around here (Houston) this year, but I was unable to go.  He also did an event with David Marks (but I just found out about it - it was in June).  Unfortunately I was out of the country.  But here's to next year and seeing Matt and Al out together (hopefully).
