A new category has been created on the board, Brian Live and In Concert. This was set up to allow fans to post about Brian's tours and shows, past or present, and will hopefully become a resource for everyone to access shows they have seen or want to read more about, grouped together all in one place for easier access. There have been calls in the past for such a forum to be created to post setlists, and this new forum will hopefully become the place to share not only setlists but everything else about each live show too.
Please feel free to post setlists, stories, personal experiences and reviews, photos, and related topics. If you choose to share information from the shows, those of us who could not attend in person will surely enjoy reading them, and will hopefully return the favor for shows we will (or did) attend. It can be anything from the current leg of the UK tour which just kicked off this weekend, going back to shows from decades past. This is not the forum to post requests for codes or ticket info, but instead specific to discussing the shows themselves and related content from fans who attended and would like to discuss and share. It would be very helpful if in the subject line of the posts, the location and date of the show being discussed could be included, so anyone who wants to find a specific concert or tour can browse by location and date. Previous related posts and topics have already been moved over to the new forum. __________________

Thanks for adding this subforum, GF.
Since I still have over three months before Brian comes to my neck of the woods, it'll make it easier to navigate the BW Forum without possible setlist spoilers.

I'll only have time for brief comments about the Birmingham show before heading for Cardiff for tonight's show. The show had fantastic energy and Brian sang the sweetest GOK I believe I've heard him do. He was amazing all through PS and did a fine job during the rest of the show. Blondie killed it, as he always does - amazing. Al's and Matt's vocals were perfect. I love this blend of voices so much.
What's strongest in my mind - no doubt because it was the first time I'd heard this arrangement - was Funky Pretty. I liked it better than the original. I hope they keep it in the setlist because it's so stunning and new.

A worthwhile live album could be made from the present tour, but it would really need a DVD to do full justice to (my time-twin) Blondie!

Dave from Indy . . .will we see you in Elizabeth, IN? Who else is attending this concert? We've decided to make the 5 hour trip instead of standing at the Pitchfork Fest in Chicago! Aloha Nui!@ Hum

Cross posted from Setlists, but could use the help if anyone else knows...
So, I'm new to the community and this will be my first post. With about 20 minutes of browsing before I decided to join and post myself... I'm curious, are there any actual setlists posted on here? Especially from the current Pet Sounds 50th tour? Any assistance would be appreciated. Of course I'll continue browsing the community and posts and may stumble upon them myself, SO, i'll add a follow-up question, in case anyone is still paying attention to this mini-ramble. Does anyone know if Brian ever does "Hang on to Your Ego?" Very curious as I fell in love with it after the release of the PS 40th Box Set. Hope all have a great time seeing him on this tour. __________________ Sean R "A dreamer is one who can only find his way by moonlight, and his punishment is that he sees the dawn before the rest of the world."

Leaving in a few hours for the show at Ryman Auditorium in Nashville. Couldn't be more excited.!!!
Saw the Lucky Old Sun show there a couple years ago. The man is the soundtrack of my life.

Kaycee. You'd better call that fuzzy little cat "Brian".

The Pet Sounds Symphony Orchestra Just an observation and a question: After listening to Brian Wilson Presents Pet Sounds Live , I'm still wondering why the recording did not include the wonderful symphony orchestra that accompanied his shows in that tour. My daughter and I attended a 2000 show in Ann Arbor, Michigan, and I can testify to the powerful boost they gave to the whole performance. Some may recall that, before Brian took the stage, on that early tour, the orchestra performed a 20-minute medley of Beach Boys songs, cleverly arranged and orchestrated by Van Dyke Parks. The CD's lack of at least a string section really deflates "Don't Talk," "I'm Waiting for the Day," "God Only Knows," etc. Last October I was able to attend the 50th Anniversary tour. Alas, no orchestra. Does anyone know whether any of the recent shows have included one?
