I enjoy just about all of them.   But if I really had to choose it might be a close call between Whatever Happend, Somewhere Quiet, and Sail Away.  Definitely one of Brian's best solo albums.

Of course One Kind of Love slowly took over but I still like so many songs including: The Right Time, Saturday Night, This Beautiful Day and The Last Song. Guess You Had to Be There is quirky fun.  I like the entire album actually and have to play it all over to appreciate it.

For me, the highlights among many good songs are Sail Away, One Kind of Love and Half Moon Bay.

I'm a big fan of just about every song on the album with the except of Sebu and Kacey's songs.

But my favorite is Sail Away.  That song was the song of Summer of 2015 for me.

'This Beautiful Day' would have been my 5th as well.

'Whatever Happened' has immediate appeal, and Brian sings the gorgeous melody quite fantastically.  But after repeat playing, the lyrics became just too sing-song and arbitrary for my tastes.  It really becomes to me like a metaphor for Joe's shortcomings...as he keeps trying to pull Brian toward mediocrity but the end of the song doesn't fit this orthodoxy, does it?  'Tell Me Why' is exactly the same.  It SOUNDS wonderful the first time until you realize how many rhymes there are for why (or 'you') and how easily the ones chosen could have been substituted without change to the song...

I sure would like 'Somewhere Quiet' better if I had amnesia regarding 1965...

I love the entire album.Amazing that Brian could put out an album so great this far along in his career.
I think Somewhere Quiet is my favorite but there are 4 or 5 others including Whatever Happened, Right Time,
Sail away, This beautiful day (I wish it had a few more versus because it is stunning in the same way as Think about the days on the last Beach Boys album.

I'm a fan of the entire album so it's difficult to say which is a favorite but in all honesty I've got to admit that "Guess You Had To Be There" followed very closely by "Whatever Happened" would be my go to cuts.

It's a great album with some great songs except for Saturday Night. Get that guy off of any future albums please!

Guess You Had To Be There. As they would say in the old days, that was an out of the box smash to my ears the first time I heard it. Wish it could have come out as a single, the crossover appeal was all there. Both AC and contemp. country would possibly have picked it up.
