Thanks for posting! Really interesting images. Especially like Brian on the car.

The SUPER-Mod lives.[thumb]  Didn't know there were various ranks, but yours must be at our near the top, Craig.  Maybe second only to Mega-Mod ??
Thanks for re-visiting...as relative (4- or 5?-year) newbie to the musical brilliance of Brian Wilson, I really appreciate long-timers hanging around here to help us learn.

Never saw the car-hopping Brian pic, though have seen that second 'shirt' picture.  I know Mr. Love has a problem with our perceived view of Brian's ability to walk on water - maybe I'll save this photo in case he needs some sort of proof of his powers.

Nice to see Brian's socks coordinated well with his 'top'.  I remember those days.  I fancied myself to be quite the cool dresser every now and then.  I got the Navy Blue pea-jacket early in the fall ... a few months after after Pet Sounds hit the shelves.  Anybody remember the red wide-wale cords Brian Jones wore on the Stone's High Tide and Green Grass lp?  I got blue ones...Worked OK with the pea-jacket.

Brian was way flashier...then.

Here's a Lee standing on a car story.  It would have been the late spring/early summer of '72.  I was taking my girl friend out for dinner.  We were going some place kinda fancy.  We were allowed to borrow her Mom's old heap of a car...maybe a '63 Bel air...and it had issues...A LOT of issues.

The thing died on us on our way to dinner...a dinner we had made a reservation for.  So now what?  I got the stupid car restarted...turned around to go back home and part way there it died again.  It must have been quite the sight to be driving past this old green Chevy, parked on the side of a rural highway, with some big, huge, long haired weirdo jumping up and down on the roof of the car with all his might. [eek]

I was pretty ticked off at the time...Obviously...as I just lost it. [mad]

Now?  I think back and I think that it's just WAY too funny.  Betcha nobody thought that I was doing an impersonation of Brian Wilson.

And I wasn't. [redface]

A few years ago ? Try eighteen !!! [cool]

Guess I just wound back on my posting generally. Back here to check out the ol' homestead, and, OK, to push the new home for 10452 (see that very thread). Seems all BB fora are slowing down in general. Understandable, none of us are getting any younger. Except Cliff Richard.

Well at least we now know that Andrew and Craig aren't the same people.  Or are they [confused]

This was a good thread to revisit.  Thanks for reviving, AGD

And nice to re-read Lee.

I think we would both be equally, ah... "amused" at the notion that we are one and the same person.

Just jumping in here, since yesterday was the glorious morning I got tickets to the Christmas show. I AM PSYCHED! The Xmas album in its entirety + cuts from WIRWFC. Wow. This might even top the Brian Setzer Orchestra where it snowed indoors, and he played a rocknroll Nutcracker suite.

It's the eve of Trick or Treat, but I'm in a serious Christmas mood. Merry Merry Christmas!

Careful Sue - your excitement could be contagious.  I'm feeling it already this year...this, from a guy who ordinarily wouldn't decorate until the week before Christmas if I had the choice (I don't).

Kind of like an early season vaccine for the holiday blues.

Sorry - this is the first I've seen this thread somehow. I'm not on the MB's much these days, and last spring, I was in the hospital for spinal fusion due to an injury that caused a number of fractures in my lower back. I'm afraid taking care of my husband and my home dominate my time. But I will be seeing Brian November 13 with 10 of my closest friends, including Deb1, whom I'm so excited to meet. We're still around, just busy.

I hope I'm not out of line by explaining that Ray has become Pres of an airline, so his free time is nearly non-existent. I only contact him when something's important because of this. We haven't forgotten Brian, nor any of you great people.

Debbie KL - Thanks a ton for checking in...and I'm really sorry for the physical pain you've gone through (as you know, I can relate a bit too much).  BUT, I'm glad you seem on the mend!  Also glad that mending allows you to head out to see our man.

I don't think you are out of line in the least about Ray - In fact, I appreciate hearing he's still thriving in his career.

-Doug

I feel that there can't be too many Deb's in one place!  There are times when my husband is pretty sure that one Deb is too many, and that Deb isn't you!
