I hope to be able to contribute to this board from time to time, and do have stories from some of the shows we've been to, some moving and some funny.

Great, I love stories.

Glad you'll be joining Deb#1, me and 9 of our closest friends, Paul. How might we find you at the Kauffman?

Debbie KL, it would be a pleasure to meet you and Deb#1. Our seats are Orchestra Row A just to right of center if you are facing the stage. We had those seats in 2016, were up frequently giving standing Os. We usually get to the Kauffman early, will probably be in the Grand Lobby by 6:30 if meeting there works for you. I know from your posts you are dealing with some physical issues so whatever is convenient to you is fine. If a pre show meet works, let me know when and where.

For anyone going to the Kauffman Center for the first time....the building is beautiful, the sound superb, and give yourself time to enjoy the view of Downtown KC from the lobby.

This music has been one of my great passions for more than 50 years and I love watching this band as much as listening.

From the Heartland, some genuine excitement and meet-ups for a BW concert.  Nice.
America will be OK.

Bugs, thanks for getting me to look again at my post from yesterday. Debbie KL, we will not get downtown until maybe 6:30 PM or so tomorrow. I meant to say maybe we can say hello in the Kauffman Center lobby before the concert, otherwise inside the Muriel Kauffman Theater. We would certainly look forward to it. And Al, thanks for the kind words.

I had That Lucky Old Sun on in my car this morning. Seemed appropriate given the weather.

But why so cynical ? At least I've got my SMiLE.[biggrin]

Now I'm really confused.  The boy b(h)umped into you, you became pregnant and gave birth to a swan?  Sweet Columnated Ruins!

Paul, I so loved meeting you on Tuesday! I hope your beautiful friend enjoyed the set list I snatched from Probyn's generous hands. [biggrin]. I discovered the advantages of sitting in the front rows that I always avoided because of the sound, but my experience at the Kauffman was like Carnegie Hall - no bad seat. It was amazing, and as it worked out, 2 talented friends in my group seated (one closer to the middle, the other in charge of making sure I could get out of my seat and walk, so she was next to me on the aisle) took some great photos. I hope I don't screw up posting them here when I get back to doing that again - hopefully soon. We'll get together once you've finished your travels, I hope! Who knew we'd both still have our WLA area codes now? [biggrin]
