I thought Brian said he grew up a Yankees fan (proof that nobody's perfect) because the Dodgers didn't come to LA until he was 15.

I'm still pulling for Houston (my hometown), although they are 'not strong' in the bullpen.  Verlander at home can even that series, and then we will see in Game 7.  Yanks are not that good.  I will keep saying that while they keep making me look foolish for saying it.  it's about performance in the clutch, not how talented you are.  and the fans' of the Yanks, grudging props.  You are higher than Dallas Cowboys fans, pinstripers, sorry I said that about you, it was uncalled for and way below the belt.

that being said, what's more classic and historical for baseball than a World Series with  ____v. ___ ...I'm not going to say it.

I'm not really paying attention to the LCSs, but I'll always root against the Yankees.

I wish my Orioles would've traded Zach Britton to Houston.  That would've made them a much better opponent.  Plus, it pains me to say this, my Orioles are about to plunge back into the Pit of Misery (dilly dilly) after the 2018 season, so I'd have rather seen our future free agents, who we're not going to sign, get traded for prospects.

If I was the Astros or the Red Sox, I'd trade managers for Buck, head-up.  He's the rare manager nowadays who just doesn't want to be the players' pal.

I'm a big Buck fan.  I give him a lot of credit for the Orioles resurgence in 2012-2016.  But, his contract is up after 2018, and all signs point to him retiring.

After that, and the expected departure of some high priced free agents, I expect the Orioles to bring on more "yes men" for GM and manager, and we'll be back to competing for 4th place in the East each season.

You are probably right...maybe not a Dodgers fan. I assumed because I know he played baseball and he lives in LA. I live in Chicago and you will almost never see a Cubs fan that is also a White Sox fan. Except for me because I happen to like both because I love baseball. It's usually what side of the city that you grew up in. For me I am a northsider and watched the Cubs growing up. It was not until I got older that I could appreciate both teams. I can admit the Cubs need help with their bull pen, but I also think that they are committing too many errors. Pitching is usually everything, but in baseball, ANYTHING can happen!! Stats and odds are numbers. Sooo....GO CUBBIES!![love]

I don't care who wins, as long as it's not the Yankees.....I guess then I should apologize to Brian.

I sort of remember one of the Q&As Brian did before the release of NPP where somebody asked him if he was a Dodgers fan (probably due to the fact that LA posted a picture of Brian wearing a Dodgers jersey when they signed the relief pitcher of the same name), and he said "no Yankees."

That's true about the Yanks, but he also had that line in "Mornin' Beat" about the 'Dodger Blue' skies.

kaycee's team has the best manager.

Brian was a very young boy when Babe died.  I believe Brian was a big fan of Mickey Mantle.  So, you have the correct team...just a different (boyhood) hero.  Though I do believe Brian grew to like Sandy Koufax and the Dodgers - at least on the surface.

Brian was a Mantle fan growing up and wanted to play center field for the Yanks, I think I heard or read.   He played everything in high school, didn't he?

It's going to be Yanks and Dodgers in the series it looks like.  Better for National ratings anyway.  I am an Indians supporter, so that didn't go too well this fall.  Pull for the team that beat you after this but really, I probably won't watch any of it.  This Aaron Judge phenomenon is growing exponentially.  Keep an eye on that!

https://www.forbes.com/sites/maurybrown/2017/10/03/aaron-judge-superstar-in-the-making/#368ee41e6291I feel for you, Al (last year, especially).  I feel a tiny bit for me also - as I had/have a perfect bracket except for the Yanks upset of the Tribe.  Of course, I'm sure I couldn't make it through the tie-breaker questions in any event ('How many total bat flips in the World Series' - JK)!

I'll always love baseball.
