Larry and I heard from Lee this past weekend.  Still very busy with his newest radio station.  Here's Lee's description, as it relates to the Beach Boys:

"It's an adult/Classic Rock combo with a fair bit of new material because radio 'time capsules' ultimately die...as the library gets burnt out.  We play maybe 35-40 Beach Boys/solo songs.  Not much before Pet Sounds.  Not a whole lot of 'band' songs after Holland...maybe 8 or 9... ... ...plus the solo material from Brian, Dennis and 1 or 2 from Carl.  There's also a smattering of local music."

And here's the station's (overall) on-line description:

"At 103.1 FM, we are trying to supply you with something different. We’re giving you what you want. An adult hits / classic rock radio station that will transport you back to the good ‘ol days. The heart of our playlist will bring you the best from the 70s, 80s and 90s with occasional trips back in time to the 60s and 50s. We want to give you that “I haven’t heard THAT song in FOREVER” kind of feeling… each and every day."

^And that's exactly what I heard Sunday - I like it (though I hope they don't spend much time in the 90s).  Cool bio on Lee (The Conductor) in case you're interested.

Look and listen-in here...

Great to hear.  But one person's opinion: the 90's music (and politics) was much better than the '80's.  and no, I wasn't a big grunge fan.

Here's hoping that Lee comes back here some day (when he has the time). [wave]

Great radio, but this guy is really a tough guy.  See what I'm saying?  he does "curls".  This guy has huge arms, best not to get on his bad side!   [smile]

I believe Grunge served its purpose and did it well. It reflected well what was happening then

I've been listening in. Great to hear Lee is doing so well.

There better be a Beach Boys song on rotation every day ...
