My own video of benefit singer-songwriter show, at the Arboretum in Topanga Canyon.  In addition to Brian, the event featured Van Dyke Parks (who organized the show), Ricki Lee Jones, Ry Cooder, among others.  Video was taken from the audience, sitting on bleachers and trying to keep the image steady.  Enjoy.  DCC

This one doesn't work for me, Dan.
But you're batting .500 [wink]

I know you'll like this.  Strange, though, how nobody else here wishes to comment.

My post, by the way, consists of only a portion of the event's program, which ran about an hour and a half.  If you want to see the other parts, let me know.  Brian performs at a later point, when asked to perform a song he wished he'd written.  I'll give you three guesses at the title, and the first five don't count.

It's a fantastic video, with Brian in top form, and the intro to Do It Again is really priceless.
And also the Ry Cooder / VDP conversation - wonderful!!
All those on the stage at the same time, including Ricki Lee Jones ... what a gathering!

Thanks for posting this, do you have a link to any more of it?

Thanks again
Jerry

Yes, it turned out well.  I'll try to upload the rest and post it here.  Give me a little time.

The Board is slow right now, Dan - but that won't last forever.  In the meantime, you're doing a great job of keeping the spark lit.

I've had a hard week, so haven't even had a chance to watch more than a minute of this.  Hope to do that soon.

We appreciate it - these videos are treasures.

Doug, you've given me a reason to live.  Thanks.

Jerry, I've done my best, but for some reason I'm unable to add the last six minutes.  I'll try to post it separately.  Blame it on my youth.

Thanks for all this, Dan.  I've quickly scanned through it and will have a good viewing tomorrow.  The conversations and the music are gold-dust here. Great stuff, thanks for this.

I'm glad it pleases you, Jerry.

BTW:  I'm not sure if she shows up in the video, but I recall Melinda sitting in the background, well behind the musicians.  She and Brian were practically newly-weds at that time.
