Anyone remember that? What was it called? I only remember the bridge was about "Frosty"(?)... no, it wasn't "Frosty the Snowman," it was an original.

Was it released in any format?

Any chance of a new song this year?

(next to none, probably)

Not got access to the CD right now but I'm reasonably sure it was "On Christmas Day" (2000), which was a bonus track on his 2005 seasonal release.

- rehearsal/sessions

If it was an original, it was that one (which references Frosty The Snowman). The other two were covers:

2000 - On Christmas Day
2001 - Silent Night
2002 - White Christmas

After some fans posted that they didn't much care for the 2002 offering, Brian declined to offer anything else.

Probably or should say maybe thinking of Child of Winter, which references not Frosty but "Here Comes Santa Claus"

Wasn't a blueboard exclusive or anything tho...and was definitely older than few years ago. '74, wasn't it?

I highly recommend A Sunflower at Christmas by The Pearlfishers. It is very much inspired by Brian.

Thanks AGD, yes it was "On Christmas Day"! And now I know it got an official release so that's great- I'll pick up it.

At the time (2000- yes I've been here on & off that long!) a few people grumbled that it wasn't that great so I can't blame Brian for not wanting to write any more tracks for the Blueboard.

I took the "What I Really Want for Christmas" out for a spin after reading this. It's a good holiday album.

I like " On Christmas Day", "Christmasey", and "What I Really Want for Christmas".

It feels cold enough to snow...

Sunf-

Glad your mystery has been solved.  Brian posted here in December 2000 about "On Christmas Day."  He said that he wrote it at Daria's pre-school Christmas party on the Monday afternoon before it was released here.  It was written on red construction paper.  Melinda said he worked on it at home all night.  On Tuesday and Wednesday Brian was in the studio with the band.  On Thursday afternoon it was released here on the good ole' blueboard.

Yeah I remember when it was released here on the board and the reactions to it (both positive and negative), just couldn't remember the name.

Anyway, liked it then/still like it now. I need to get that Cmas* album...
