I had a dentist appointment yesterday and among the songs that played over the little speaker in the office while I was getting my teeth scraped and cleaned was "That's Why God Made the Radio"!

Both songs are true!

Boston. I think it was a satellite radio thing. The jock actually gave a nice little spiel for the entire album before playing the tune.

Oooooooh those (in)famous Mike Love spoonerisms ! "dentist chair /music there" is one of my favourites. No kidding, it’s a kind of comedy I don’t want to miss.

Others I can think of:

“Well the girls can't stand her 'cause she walks looks and drives like an ace now, she makes the Indy 500 look like a Roman chariot race now” … awesome, awesome, awesome …

“Everybody knows a little place like Kokomo, now if you wanna go and get away from it all, go down to Kokomo” … pure philosophy …

“The West coast has the sunshine and the girls all get so tanned” … great literature …

“She's got a competition clutch with the four on the floor, and she purrs like a kitten till the lake pipes roar, and if that aint enough to make you flip your lid, there's one more thing, I got the pink slip daddy” … innocent youth …

And there’s also a nice try by Scott Bennett:

“Hey, bonita muchacha, don’t you know that I want ya? Hey, bonita muchacha, I need to know that I got ya” – “can you picture me in your family tree ?”  … priceless …

Those aren't spoonerisms. A spoonerism is saying chentist dair instead of dentist chair. it's the swapping of initial consonant sounds in a phrase, attributed to the malapropisms of a Reverend Spooner.

and doesn't the expression "malapropism" come from the character Mrs Malaprop in Sherdian's The Rivals?

Me neither.

I heard 'Isn't It Time' in the elevator today. Well suited.

I think that if I was sitting in the dentist chair I would probably want to hear something k
ind of calm and soothing, like " in my room " or "surfer girl " or something like that the dentist makes me anxious .lol.

ah, something to "look forward" to... except that my dentist has a TV (which you can't really see from that angle anyway!)

BBs music "would be nice" though.

Good timing even though it is spam.  Didn't get any music at the dentist yesterday.
